Two years ago, Ben and Jennifer Munger were highly-successful financial executives, both working 60+ hour weeks to earn six figure salaries. The Mungers were successful, but their young son soon helped them realize just how much they were sacrificing their personal and family lives. “The more successful we became financially, the less time we had for each other and our son, Jason,” says Jenn. “We thought we had found success, but all we really had was a stressed-out lifestyle, running from one moment to the next and never really enjoying any of it”
When Jason turned 2 years old, the Mungers finally resolved to hunt for an alternative to their Wall Street lifestyle. They explored purchasing a retail business, looked at franchise opportunities and even considered some Internet-based businesses, but most of what they researched didn’t seem to solve their principle issue: the desire for both financial freedom and “free time.” The Mungers had spent too many years working overtime for their money, and they desperately wanted the freedom to enjoy their lives, not work through them.
Finally, in November 2006, Ben met a mentor who told him about an incredible opportunity. “He turned out to be a network marketer involved with an extremely successful company” says Ben, “With this company, Liberty League International, he was now living the life of his dreams – the life that we so desperately desired. I saw what was possible and I instantly wanted to know more.” As Ben soon found out, Liberty League was founded in 2000, and has since gone from a small network marketing opportunity to a global family of successful people, all working toward the same common goal: spreading health and wealth to people who seek the financial freedom the members enjoy.
“The Liberty League products generate actual well-being, with a focus on personal development and success,” says Ben. “But the focus isn’t on selling products; it’s about sharing an opportunity with people – both to better themselves and their lives. I analyzed the business, and what I saw was a ground floor opportunity with a direct-sales model. I saw myself helping people change their lives with products that actually lead to health and wealth.”
Excited, Ben jumped head first into the Liberty League system, which explained all aspects of the company’s home-based business opportunity – the products, the compensation plan and the incredible in-house marketing system. “It really was the system that sold me on the business and the products,” says Ben. “Liberty League International is unique in the sense that its system mimics that of a franchise, without all of the negative aspects like huge upfront costs and long-term overhead.”
A few months after Ben became a member, Jenn threw her hat into the network marketing ring as well. Today, just two years after they were first introduced to Liberty League, the Mungers are living a life without limits. “Today we have both success and freedom,” says Jenn. “We live, work and succeed as a family now, and that’s what this opportunity embodies.” In addition to being avid network marketing entrepreneurs, the Mungers also admit to being unabashed fun-seekers. “We now have the freedom and financial means to do whatever we want,” says Ben.
And so far, the Mungers have spent their new found freedom traveling to places like Hawaii, Cancun, Australia, Italy, Greece, England and California, where they oftentimes attend Liberty League conferences.” We’re able to take time out to go skiing, snowshoeing, mountain biking and hiking,” says Jenn. “This summer we went sky diving over the North Shore of Hawaii and whitewater rafting down the Colorado River. We’re having the time of our lives and we’re making money along the way.” “That’s the beauty of this business,” says Ben. “You can go anywhere, anytime, without checking in or requesting time off from your boss. It really is the definition of freedom.”
Being part of an immensely successful business also allows the Mungers to get involved with a number of charitable causes. Jennifer sits on the board of directors for The New York State Coalition Against Sexual Assault and last year was instrumental in creating its first annual 5k Run/Walk to End Sexual Violence – an event in which the not-for-profit had 116 runners and 80 volunteers, raising a total of $28,000.
According to Ben, there’s no “golden nugget” story on how the Mungers managed to achieve such success. In fact, he says it’s pretty simple: They simply followed the system they were presented with to a “T.” “I’m a smart, creative guy,” says Ben, “but I couldn’t have this kind of success without following the system. The level of support that you get from the leadership and the community is incredible; it makes it possible for anyone who has a desire to change his or her current circumstances to do this.”
“Experience simply does not matter,” Ben continues. “There are individuals making tremendous money from all backgrounds – teachers, doctors, lawyers, ex-fortune 100 executives, college dropouts, etc. You just have to be coachable and trainable and have that burning desire to change your life. I can honestly say that Network Marketing has certainly changed everything in our lives. Liberty League has given us absolute freedom in every way possible.
